John 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
I saw this today as a picture of the church. It’s full of sick, blind, lame, paralyzed people and they are waiting on “the moving of the water.” People want revival to happen. They think there will be healings (there will be). They think it will fix things.
But all the while Jesus is there offering healing and all His wholeness to all those who would come to Him. Jesus goes to the lame man. He has the prerogative to show mercy when He wants to show mercy. But He leaves the rest waiting. They had everything they could have wanted right there in Jesus, and instead they were waiting for something to happen.
Go to Jesus. He is Life! If you want revival, reviving, then Life is what you are looking for. Personal revival is always available. Look to Jesus!
Repentance is the fuel of revival. Confess your sin. Ask God to show you your sin. Ask God to help you hate your sin. Ask God to take away your sin. Cooperate with Him as He does just that.
When many people in one place go through personal revival, that’s corporate revival. It’s yours for the taking. It’s ours for the taking. Who wants life?
